CAUSES OF THE CIVIL WARThe thing that caused the civil war was that half of the people in the U.S. wanted slavery and the other half did not they wanted to have free states with no slaves. The union were the people that wanted to be free and the other people was the confederate states they split into two and had there issues. |

They wanted the U.S. to have all of the states free and no slaves. At the end of the civil war Robert E Lee surrendered to the union and everyone that was with the confederate states switched to the union and they all became free states.

Abraham Lincoln was great leader in the civil war for the U.S. Because he was the current president. Also Robert E. Lee was a great leader becasuse he commanded the confederacy. Later president Lincoln was a great leader until he was assassinated and his leader ship times were over. Finally the commander for the union was Ulysses S. Grant

The people that served in the war were the confederate states and the union. Back in that day there was not technically a army yet but today we would call it a army.
CASUALTIES
There was about 60,000 soldiers killed in the civil war from combat,accident,starvation, and disease. Also there was no civilians killed or innocents also that took a very big impact onto the United States.
